Courtesy of eeProductCenter

Smyrna, Ga. — Murata Electronics North America has introduced the BLM02 series of ferrite beads, touted as the industry's smallest, measuring 0.4 x 0.2 x 0.2 mm. The 01005-sized noise compression devices are suitable for electromagnetic interference (EMI) filter applications and DC power lines, which are found in numerous electronics including RF modules, laptop computers, portable music devices and car navigation systems.

In addition to its small size, the BLM02 series, part of Murata's EMIFIL (electromagnetic interference filter) family of chip ferrite beads, provides a wide attenuation frequency range of approximately 30 MHz to several hundred MHZ, and an impedance range of 10 ohms to 120 ohms with rated currents between 200 mA and 500 mA. The components also offer dc resistance below 0.8 ohms and operate between 55°C to +125°C. The ferrite beads are RoHS compliant.

Pricing: Sample pricing is six cents. Additional purchasing info can be found online at www.murata-northamerica.com
Availability: Lead time is approximately six to eight weeks.
