Belvidere, Ill. — NDK (Nihon Dempa Kogyo Co., Ltd.) has introduced its NCR-46 embedded timing module with an integrated GPS receiver that will automatically track and receive signals from GPS satellites. Once locked onto these signals it will deliver a highly precise 1 pulse per second (pps) output aligned UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) signal at 3.3 Vdc.

The NCR-46 also delivers a highly stable ±0.02 ppm three-channel, 10-MHz standard clock signal when locked on to the GPS signal, and a time of day (TOD)/GPS signal output. It features a RS-232C management port to confirm equipment conditions and an open collector alarm output to indicate if a non-stable state exists.

The NCR-46 operates on a +12 Vdc ±5% supply voltage drawing 10.5 W at start up and 5 W or less during stable state. It measures 123.4 x 98 x 29.3 mm (LxWxH) and operates in a temperature range of -20° to +70°C. Applications include WiMAX, Long Term Evolution (LTE), and next-generation Personal HandyPhone System (PHS) base stations.

Pricing: Less than $1,000 for a standard NCR-46 model.
Availability: Delivery is 8 to 12 weeks.
